Joanne Naiman, Esq., a principal of Reasonable Divorce Resolutions, is a certified mediator and has been a practicing attorney for over 20 years.
She writes on family law and divorce mediation for national audiences. Joanne won a Clarion Award for Excellence in News Reporting for The National Law Journal article, “The Deadly Practice of Divorce.” She blogs for The Huffington Post, recently contributing “The 8 Myths of Divorce Mediation.”
She started her legal career as a Manhattan assistant district attorney, became an administrative law judge and opened a private practice specializing in divorce litigation.
Joanne now focuses on divorce mediation. In addition to her RDR mediation practice, she is a consultant mediator for the Nassau County Supreme Court matrimonial panel and served on the New York City Family Court custody mediation panel.
She also served as the Queens Family Court Mediation Manager and as a mediation instructor at Community Mediation Services in Queens.
Joanne studied mediation at Community Mediation Services, Safe Horizon and the Center for Mediation and Training in New York City. She is a member of the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York and the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation.
Joanne graduated from Boston University. She received her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and an M.S.J. with honors from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
Genna Rosten Margolis, Esq., a principal of Reasonable Divorce Resolutions, has been practicing law since 1989. Genna started her legal career in Brooklyn Family Court, prosecuting child abuse and neglect cases on behalf of the City of New York. She appeared in Family Court on a daily basis and has litigated custody/visitation, foster care, and domestic violence cases.
Genna also worked as an attorney in the environmental claims department of American International Group, where she negotiated complex multimillion dollar settlements.
Genna currently focuses on divorce mediation. In addition to her RDR mediation practice, she is a consultant mediator for the Nassau County Supreme Court matrimonial panel and served on the Nassau Family Court and the New York City Family Court custody mediation panels.
She studied mediation at Community Mediation Services in Queens, Hofstra Law School and the Center for Mediation and Training in New York City. She is a member of the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York and the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation.
